For pilots that are accepted for entry in the 2006 Shootout, entry fees will be fully refundable until September 25th. After this time, refunds will be made only if a replacement pilot is successfully registered.

Pilots that are not initially accepted for entry in the 2006 Shootout will be alternates. Alternates will be contacted by the CD if any openings occur. For alternates, we will hold your entry fee check, uncashed, until after the 2006 Shootout. All uncashed checks will be destroyed at that time.

Contest Prize Pool

All entry fees go toward contest expenses and the prize pool. Invitational class and Four-Minute Free will share a cash prize pool.

For Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced and Unlimited pilots there will be a prize pool provided by the event sponsors.

Pilot Volunteers

Pilots may be required to serve as judges and/or scribes. Pilots that are fluent in reading Aresti may be asked to serve as callers for judges in the Invitational class.

Pilot Roster Selection Process

For the 2006 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout we will be using a point based ranking system to determine the pilots that will be in the field for the Sportsman thru Unlimited categories. CLICK HERE for the specifics of the Pilot Selection Process.

Each pilot wishing to be considered for entry in the 2006 Shootout will be required to fill out an Entry Application, Pilot Ranking Worksheet and the Intent to Register web form. The Entry Application, Entry Fee and Pilot Ranking Worksheet for the Shootout must be mailed to the Contest Director and received by Tuesday, August 8th.

The pilot lists will be posted on Tuesday, August 15th.

How quickly you send in your entry application, entry fee, pilot ranking worksheet and fill out the Intent to Register web form will have no bearing on your acceptance into the field.

Online web registration for the Shootout will open on Saturday, July 15th, 10:00 a.m., Mountain Standard Time.

Deadline for filling out the Intent to Register web form will be, Monday, July 31st, Midnight, Mountain Standard Time.
